It is time to showcase another one of our awesome Twenty Over Ten team members. We love our Meet the Team series, so we can give you a chance to see who is behind all of the work that we do. There are so many different parts to our company, and each individual employee is pertinent to our continued growth. We are thrilled to add another person to our family and we’re sure that once you get to know our team members, you’ll love them just as much as we do!
Recently we had the opportunity to catch up with Mike Dale, who works in sales operations and development. As part of the Twenty Over Ten team, Mike is one of the faces (or voices) behind our top-notch sales team and works to help financial advisors find the best solutions to build the best digital presence.
Tell us a little bit about how you get involved in this type of work.
Growing up in the hills of Pennsylvania, my parents taught me many valuable lessons: Laugh often, serve others, work hard, and believe the best. As I grew older, I learned that these lessons didn’t just make for a great childhood but are the principals that make one successful in life, as well. That’s why I like working with people and sales. When you have a proven solution, put customers first, and put forth effort with integrity you tend to succeed.
What is your title at Twenty Over Ten and what does your day-to-day look like?
I’m a Sales Ninja for Twenty Over Ten. Every day looks the same: serve others, believe the best, honor my employers, do what’s right for the customer, put others above myself, and at the end of the day, love my wife and kids.
Do you have a morning routine that gets you motived for the day?
Each morning I get up at 6:00 AM, spoon feed my elderly cat, and get back in bed by 6:15. At 7:30 I’m up again, realize I have no pets, and wonder how all this cat food got shoved into the socks on my floor.
When you are not at work, what are some of your hobbies/passions?
I love to read and hang out with my wife. I typically read a book every two weeks and a have a kid every two years.
If you could have dinner with anyone famous, who would be your top three picks?
The Apostle Paul, King David, and honestly my wife. (I really like her) see note above.
What season do you like the best and why?
I actually LOVE every season and moved back home to experience them all. The seasons are set to teach us lessons about life…that winter’s darkness always breaks forth into the light, and the death of fall lays the foundation for spring’s resurrection.
How do you like to unwind after a long day at work?
I play with my kids, encourage a friend, and hold my wife’s hand.
What is your favorite sport to watch and team in that sport?
Football and the Pittsburgh Steelers – I was born in Pennsylvania, and I think it’s the law.
What is the best trip that you have ever taken and where was it?
My favorite trip was my first real vacation on my own. I went to Ocean City, Maryland with a bunch of friends.
What is the very first job that you ever had?
I worked at a Bingo Hall two nights a week for 7 years starting in 5th grade.
What is the first concert that you ever attended?
I saw The Steve Miller band. I love classic rock.
