It’s been a whirlwind of a year, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way! It’s hard to believe there’s less than a week left in 2019, but we’re really excited to kick off the new year. But before we dive headfirst into 2020 we wanted to reflect back on some of our most memorable websites we had the opportunity to create throughout the year. It was a hard task to narrow our list down to just 10 but this bunch is really swoon-worthy. Read on to find out more about their fantastic features and what makes them unique. Enjoy!
1. Real Life Planning
Marketing to a niche demographic creates more value for your marketing money and gives you more quality leads. Financial planning is very broad, so making a mark in this field takes more effort, energy, and marketing dollars, so when you cater to a specific group, it makes it much more effective. With that being said, we love how niche-specific Real Life Planning’s website is, and that is made evident right as you land on the homepage with the tagline, “Where Financial Planning Meets Real Estate.”
Additionally, strategic calls to action are pertinent to growing your client base, and boldly sitting on the hero image, they have a CTA that says, “Get 30 Real Estate Ideas For Financial Planning.”
Also, when you scroll through using their single-page scrolling site, you land on a plethora of information, such as an educational video, an “As Featured In” section, a useful blog section and a lot of other awesome informational tools. The graphics are fun and for the “Basics” package, and the prompt “Wherever you are in life, start there,” then with ways to, “Lift, Aim, Launch.”
2. Whitesell Financial Group, LLP
Whitesell Financial Group is based in Rapid City, SD, so the logo of a bison next to mountains is very appropriate. It’s memorable and unique, which makes for a very strong logo overall. Depending on the background of the website, it changes from white to black and blue, which helps it to stand out better. We love this part of their website as a logo is incredibly important to the overall brand of your company and is essential to the overall marketing strategy.
The imagery is beautiful as it’s a snowy scene in the woods, bringing about a feeling of serenity, especially amidst an industry that can be fast-paced and stressful. Speaking of images, they include clear headshots that are also very uniform and when you click on each image, you can learn more about each team member, making the initial meeting much more comfortable and beneficial, as you can get a sense of who you will be working with.
3. Sequoia Financial
Located in beautiful Visalia, CA, Sequoia Financial is run by founder, Schad TenBroeck, and is a full-service insurance agency. Being in the Central Valley of California, upon landing on their homepage, you are immediately taken on a virtual tour, with the video hero image scrolling through the Redwood trees that the area is so famous for. This goes beyond generic stock photos, which we encourage clients to steer away from and really brings website visitors closer to the area’s natural beauty.
He works with a variety of clients ranging from blue-collar workers to young professionals and medical professionals. We discuss the importance of catering to a niche, and while he has a variety, he does cater to each individual niche and does advising that best suits each of their unique needs.
Twenty Over Ten has taken our online marketing to the next level with this website. The entire process was enjoyable, well thought out, and very professional. We were beyond thrilled with how well it turned out and love what the designer was able to do with our vision.
– SCHAD TENBROECK, SEQUOIA FINANCIAL
Choosing the Iris framework, the single-page scrolling site makes for clean and crisp navigation, as this takes away the “clunkiness” that many financial advisors are looking to steer away from. As users scroll through, they land on several strategically placed calls to action to entice leads to take that next step down the sales funnel.
4. Lucid Wealth Planning
Upon landing on Lucid Wealth Planning’s homepage, you immediately know what groups they cater to as it’s discussed right on the hero image. While they specialize in working with medical professionals and academic professors, they do not limit themselves to those fields of work but strive rather to help people accomplish their goals if they are trying to better those around them.
Another thing about their site that stands out to us is the footer that is included with their contact information, along with social media icons and a CTA to “Schedule A Time To Chat.” Obviously, when you are trying to gain prospects, you want it to be as easy as possible to get in touch with a firm, and Lucid Wealth Planning makes it simple with all of these contact options. The footers can be more in-depth or simple and to the point like this one, which includes everything that you need, it’s just whatever works best for your site.
5. Simon Quick Advisors
Simon Quick Advisors is a fee-only financial planner who offers holistic financial planning solutions for affluent families, business owners and executives. Just below the fold, there is an “As Seen In,” section so that visitors can see where they have been featured, therefore boosting their credibility right off the bat. Putting it closer to the top is a great idea because it only takes .05 seconds to make a good first impression, so putting this information closer to the top will make visitors more likely to stay on the website once the credibility has been established.
In their “Getting Started” section, the steps are broken down into 7 easy to understand steps so that clients know exactly what they can expect prior to working with the firm. By now you know how much we love a strong call to action, so the use of one right under Step 1 through Calendly is a great way to increase your meeting availability by making it super simple to do this!
6. Glide Financial
Glide Financial, based out on Midvale, UT is very upfront about how they uniquely serve medical professionals in the statement, “Your time away from the office should be spent relaxing and rejuvenating – not struggling to understand your retirement needs.” This speaks directly to their pain points and establishes trust. Prospects in this niche know that medical professionals face unique challenges when it comes to managing their finances, and they are here to make this process smoother.
They discuss what sets them apart and why you should work with them, establishing trust with future clients. Also, the services that are offered are broken down into neat sections with icons next to each and a description of each one. Once visitors know more about what they can expect, a CTA that stands out boldly is just below those saying, “Schedule Your Complimentary Call,” which then leads them to a contact section.
7. Steinkuhler Financial Group
Dealing with your financial future can be stressful, but the serenity of the moving image in the background starts to remove your anxieties. Don’t you want to see what you could be doing in retirement if you weren’t worried about money? The hero image on the homepage shows just that. You know the values as they are displayed on the homepage: Confidence. Discipline. Patience. Money matters can be confusing, so the way they mention patience is a great value, as this shows that they will work with their clients to do what is best for your future.
Also, they have included a helpful roadmap and infographic on their site is simple and clean, which makes for a much clearer path about how Steinkuhler helps their clients when working with them.
8. Tapparo Capital Management
Tapparo Capital Management is an advisory firm based out of Middleton, MA, and we just love how Andrew Tapparo, MSF, president and founder calls himself, “The Financial Advisor for the Rest of Us. This gives the feeling that he is open to chat and wants to help people who have been working hard and have saved their money and just want honest straight-forward advice and guidance. Immediately, you know that he is somebody that you can really trust when you work with him. He is going to do what is best for you and help you to make the best financial decisions for your unique journey.
Upon landing on the website, you notice the beautiful imagery, and being from Massachusetts, this is perfect, especially when you see the winding roads and “New England’ type pictures. It really localizes the website and allows readers from the area to get that feeling of “home” which can put really humanize the firm.
We can’t stress enough the importance of using tools on your website, and Tapparo Capital Management has integrated Calendly onto their website to make it much easier for clients to book meetings with Andrew quickly and easily. When you make it that simple for your clients, then you are going to see an uptick in meetings and therefore client conversions.
Not only does he have Calendly on his site, but he has also integrated Riskalyze onto his site so that his users have the ability to find out what their risk score is. Having this makes it so much easier to discuss future plans with clients and how to proceed with financial decisions.
When I saw my first Twenty Over Ten website, it was like a breath of fresh air. The images were first and foremost and the words were kept to a bare minimum.
– ANDREW TAPPARO, TAPPARO CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
9. Dream Financial Planning
In this day and age, people want answers and they want them fast, which is why the integration of LiveChat and Chatbots on your website is so important. Immediately landing on Dream Financial Planning’s website, Facebook Messenger pops up in the bottom right-hand corner with a greeting from Lamar Watson, CFP® asking how they can help. Using a Chatbots are a great way to save time, and they provide increased satisfaction for customers by being able to provide answers at all hours. Not only do they provide the way to quickly connect through Facebook Messenger, but the social media icons are clearly displayed in the top right-hand corner, which makes it so much easier to access these platforms.
Another aspect of this website is the use of case studies. Using this is a great way way to tell a customer’s story and go a step further by showing your client instead of just telling them. You are painting a clearer picture of your services and allowing clients and prospects a more in-depth look at what they can expect.
10. PathWise
The beautiful hero imagery on the homepage on PathWise’s website with rotating headlines and calls to action. While it is important to cater to a niche if you don’t that’s completely fine too! They include a picture of a woman with a flower crown on her head saying, “You’re Not Like Everyone Else: Neither Are Your Finances.” So, even though they don’t cater to a particular niche, they still realize that every person and every financial situation is unique.
That’s a Wrap!
