Love at First Site: 2021 Best Financial Advisor Websites Valentine’s Day Edition Featured Image

With Valentine’s Day this weekend, we figured it was time to get in the spirit. This is why we wanted to do a quick round-up of eight of our favorite advisor websites that we just couldn’t get enough of. As always, we have a hard time narrowing down our favorites, but with strong design, beautiful imagery and lead-generating content, you’ll see why we had “love at first site” when we saw these advisor websites.

Websites We Love Valentines Edition

8 Advisor Websites That Gave Us Love at First Site

1. Olympus Wealth Management

Located in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Olympus Wealth Management’s homepage hero image captures the beauty of the area, appealing to the “local aspect” of their firm.  Not only is it important for prospects to feel a tie to your company, but it shows you are proud of where you come from and can’t wait to serve others in the area and beyond. This local feel is evident on the homepage of Olympus Wealth Management and when it is coupled with the rotating text overlay including phrases such as, “Providing Complementary Skills & Diverse Expertise” and “Simplifying the Complex Needs of High-Net-Worth & Ultra-High-Net-Worth Families,” visitors can immediately see the services they offer plus the niche the serve. And since 55% of visitors spend less than 15 seconds on your website, you don’t have a lot of time to captivate your audience, but Olympus Wealth Manages to do this on their homepage, especially since they have included the call-to-action to lead visitors around the website.

The Twenty Over Ten team was great to work with. From our initial due diligence process to the design and rollout, to the ongoing service, Twenty Over Ten has been top-notch. That is important for our firm because our clients expect our website to reflect the kind of first-class service we provide and having a team like Twenty Over Ten to accurately portray this to the marketplace has been refreshing.

2. Crescent Lake Advisors

A sense of adventure is evident in the video hero image of Crescent Lake Advisors with the couple kayaking across beautiful waters. Making such a strong first impression with a homepage like this is a great way to entice your leads to continue exploring your website to find out more. And with a sticky CTA that stands out in the top right-hand corner with the phrase “Schedule A 30-Minute Meeting,” it makes it easy to get in touch with the founder, Matt Berger, CPA. Visitors are taken to the Calendly page, where they can choose either the 30-minute discovery meeting or a 60-minute meeting.

With the overlay text, you can easily see that they offer services to busy families, young couples and emerging professionals, and as you continue to scroll down the page, you are met with the images that portray these particular audiences along with a paragraph discussing how their team can help.

Twenty Over Ten made the process very easy and provided a one-stop-shop for my logo, website layout, photography and copy.  I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a truly professional look and feel to their site but does not have the time or expertise to do it themselves.

-Matthew Berger, Principal and Founder of Crescent Lake Advisors

3. Trailhead Planners

We couldn’t get enough of the unique website from Trailhead Planners’, which was built on the Acuity framework, and divides the screen into two sides. By doing this, the website is able to showcase a lot of information that is still streamlined and organized. The left side of the homepage includes strong imagery with two calls-to-action while the right side details information about the services that are offered with a simple mission statement. With another CTA on the right side of the page, visitors are offered multiple options to schedule a free call. This simple yet effective homepage is a great way to boost lead generation and get prospects moving down the sales funnel.

Additionally, we are loving the name of the blog section, “Coffee Sweaters  & Finance!” It’s important to consistently update your blog section with relevant content in order to provide your prospects and clients with content that will answer their questions and provide them with useful information that they can use to strengthen their financial journey.

4. Encompass Wealth Advisors

Encompass Wealth Advisors is located in Portland, Oregon and its homepage has Mount Hood as the hero image which is unique to the area, making for an incredibly localized feel. There is a lot to love about this site, and one of them is the text overlay prompting visitors to find out more about “The Encompass Edge” where they discuss how they are going to help you on your financial journey. They have used our accordions feature to show the features of “The Encompass Edge” and the services in the “7 Pillars for Life Planning and Wealth Management” as a way to boost the user experience by making the site cleaner and easier to navigate.

Utilizing this feature is a great way to provide your audience with all of the pertinent information necessary but in an incredibly streamlined way so that the website never looks cluttered.

5. Fourth Point Wealth

Fourth Point Wealth has two locations in California, both in Newport Beach and Santa Barbara. When thinking about designing a website, a contact page probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but that doesn’t mean it’s not incredibly important. If your contact page isn’t easy to find and doesn’t have multiple ways to get in contact, then this could drastically cut down on your lead generation. Fourpoint Wealth doesn’t have to worry about that, as they have a very comprehensive contact page with multiple options for getting a touch, such as:

  • A Form
  • CTA to schedule a meeting
  • Phone number
  • Email

They list the phone number and address for each individual branch with a Google map for each, as well. Lastly, they have included icons for their Facebook and LinkedIn pages so that visitors can visit their social platforms.

6. Aust Financial Advisory, LLC

Aust Financial Advisory, LLC is an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Advisory firm in Georgia and the southern charm is made evident in the imagery on the website from the sleepy live oaks to the waterfront, you get the feeling and that you will be working with a firm that you can trust.

As you know, a robust resources section is key to boosting your lead generation, and Aust Financial Advisory has not only a blog section but videos coming soon, suggest reading and gated content. When gated content is done well, it can be an incredibly effective part of your inbound marketing strategies to acquire new leads. Visitors will receive access to the firm’s white papers by simply providing their name and email address, making for a very simple process.

7. Matterhorn Financial Planning, LLC

Based in Inkom, Idaho, Matterhorn Financial Planning’s website is built on the Rod & Cone framework which is evident in the bold homepage imagery and text. The sticky top-level navigation and sidebar navigation facilitate a user-friendly visit, and we love the landscape images of Idaho rotating through. Additionally, the changed CTAs with each passing image include the option to find out more, watch videos, learn more about the fees among other options.

Financial planning is an intensely personal process and I wanted my website to reflect who I was in order to help establish a fit with potential clients right away. I wanted it to look different than the standard financial planners’ website. Twenty Over Ten listened to my thoughts and brought their expertise to bear to help me create something that attracts the right clients for me.

-Robbie Schoonmaker, Principal at Matterhorn Financial Planning

Financial advisors often offer free material to their prospects and clients and Matterhorn Financial Planning has included an entire section called, “Free Stuff,” and obviously people LOVE free stuff. This section includes:

  • A free 30-minute intro meeting
  • A general financial planning tip
  • A free risk analysis
  • The use of financial planning software to find out where your money is going

It’s transparent and advisors understand exactly what they will be getting, along with all of the other content on the page.

8. South Shore Financial planning

As soon as you land on the homepage of South Shore Financial Planning’s website, you are immediately whisked away to a stress-free beach with waves crashing on the shore. We love the overlay text:

Financial Solutions To Help You…Enjoy Life to the Fullest And Write the Perfect Final Chapter to Your Story

The above drives home how you have worked hard for your entire life, and now is the time to reap the benefits of everything that you have saved for, and South Shore Financial Planning can help.

We often discuss how important it is to include fees on your website for transparency’s sake and to attract qualified leads, and they have included a comprehensive pricing page on their site, making it simple and straightforward for people to understand exactly what they are getting and for what price. With fees broken down into packages with the addition of optional services, there is a lot to love about this pricing page.

That’s a Wrap!

Wow! Did you love those sites or what? Our design team loved getting to help advisors create the website of our clients’ dreams, and it was fun going back through each aspect and seeing what makes each site so special.
