For this week’s client showcase we are bringing you a financial services firm who show how developing a strong brand and identity for your business is the first step toward a consistent, professional marketing strategy.
I had the chance to speak with Aaron Pierce from Gyroscope Capital Management Group about the firm’s website that recently launched and the thought process behind the design. I am always interested in what drives clients to develop a new website and how they decide to work with us, and so I started by asking Aaron about this.
“We were referred to Twenty Over Ten through some fellow colleagues of ours at Moors & Cabot Investments. Our previous website was very outdated and hard to update. In addition, our firm has grown in size the previous couple of years, and we needed to update our website for a more professional look and feel.”
Developing a Brand Idenitity
Founded in 2006, Gyroscope Capital Management Group is an option centric advisory firm providing equity solutions for income and protection to advisors with High Net Worth and Institutional clients.
Gyroscope had already developed a new brand idenity and logo, and so our designers worked with their team to design a site around the new mark, which is sleek, modern and visually appealing, especially with the color scheme of slate grey and black contrasting against green. The new site was designed around this color scheme, allowing the firm’s brand to remain consistent and carry forward across all marketing.

Favorite Website Features
When asked about his favorite features, Aaron said, “The new website provides efficiency to our business operations as it gives us the autonomy to update simple features on our own, which is nice because we will be adding and removing items from the website frequently. Twenty Over Ten’s system embraces user-centered design and makes it easy for anyone to comprehend how to login and manage their site, and even if there were to be troubles with the platform, Ryan, Samantha, and team are very accessible and responsive. The mobile-responsiveness is also a great feature, and is a must-have in our modern culture to do business”
When we asked Aaron if he learned anything about the importance of branding and design through this process, he said
“We learned that good web design helps to filter traffic to the areas of most importance to our business. You guys were great at conveying what viewers will be seeking, and implementing the proper design to fit our users’ needs.”
Marketing for the Future
Since a website is of course a marketing tool, we wanted to know how the Gyroscope team was incorporating their new website into their marketing plan. “Our management is in front of current and prospective clients each and every day. Being able to direct these individuals to our site (and feeling assured that the site will always display well on mobile and tablets) allows for instantaneous access to more details about our firm and investment strategies, and further legitimizes our firm. We have already gotten feedback from one of our close business relationship’s who is very impressed by the new site.”
Additionally, as part of their marketing strategy, Gyroscope Capital Management Group also wanted to begin to develop a social media presence as they look at ways to stay connected with clients across multiple channels. They worked with Twenty Over Ten’s social media consultants to help create and setup a LinkedIn page for the company, and learned how to post articles, make updates, and share content.
