Meet the Team: Savannah Brunette

We couldn’t get by at Twenty Over Ten without lots of teamwork and support. That’s why we love to showcase each of our members so you can get to know a little more about the people that make our team so special.

This week, we got to talk to Savannah Brunette,  a new addition to our marketing team. As a marketing intern, Savannah spends time creating blog content, managing newsletters and eblasts. She also dabbles in social media and has recently begun working with clients on copywriting. To help you get to know Savannah better, we held a quick interview –

Where is home for you?
Currently, home is State College, PA but I was raised in Lackawaxen, a very rural township on the northeastern edge of the state.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
I would love to take an extended trip abroad and live in Iceland, Ireland, India, or anywhere new. It would be a great opportunity to explore a new location, meet new people, and learn about different cultures. I am hoping to take a big trip before my move down to Washington, D.C. in the next year.

It sounds like you’ve got some big plans! In an ideal world, what will you be doing in 10 years?
I can’t imagine how much will change in the next 10 years. Professionally, I hope to work somewhere I can make a positive impact; I bet you’ve heard that you never work a day in your life if you enjoy what you do! In the next 10 years, I hope to take on as many adventures, cities, mountains, and hobbies that come way and search for new ones when there is time. Most of all, I hope to continue to be surrounded by great people.

Where did you get your start in marketing? Have you always been interested in this kind of work?
I always knew I wanted to work with people and business, so marketing seemed like a great marriage between the two.

What most excites you about working at Twenty Over Ten?
I was so excited to join Twenty Over Ten because I find website content and design very intriguing! I have been creating websites as a hobby but this opportunity allowed me to learn more about what makes a website great from professionals in the space. Even more so than the work itself, I have enjoyed working with this team so much. Everyone is extremely passionate about Twenty Over Ten’s mission and has been incredibly supportive.

Where is your favorite place to work or study?
Currently, I spend most days at a small cafe in State College called Saints. I like working and studying somewhere cozy with a warm drink in my hand.

What would a perfect day for you look like?
On a perfect day, I’d wake up early, drink a cup of coffee on the porch with my mom and catch up on reading. Then I’d want to spend the day outside, maybe hiking with my sister or grilling down by the river with our family and friends. Lastly, I love wrapping up the day with a movie night (depending on which member of the house picks out the movie…)

Do you have a favorite quote or saying?
My dad always told me growing up “it doesn’t cost you anything to be nice.” I love that and try to keep it in mind everyday.

Who is your role model or inspiration?
I’m not sure I could pick just one person. My dad, mom and sister inspire me everyday. My dad is extremely hard working and has the biggest heart. My mom can light up a room and is so kind,  never asking for anything in return. My sister is three years younger than me but wise beyond her years.

Okay, one last question… if you had to pick just one meal to eat, what would it be?
One meal… probably the toughest question to answer so far! I have a sweet tooth so I would probably try to make a meal out of chocolate.
