This week we are showcasing a client site that is the perfect mix of clean design and straight-forward usability. After being referred from a fellow advisor, Adam Glassberg approached us about creating a website for a unique organization, The Asclepius Group. The group is comprised of Fee-Only advisors located throughout the country who have a significant portion of their practice dedicated to serving the financial advising needs of medical professionals.
The Asclepius Group members had formalized their organization but had never had a website before and were looking for something that was easy to navigate and keep up-to-date, but also communicated a strong message about who they are and who they serve.
The final design works so well in that visitors get the visual image that instantly communicates “medicine”, while also seeing the tagline that explains the financial focus, quickly communicating the message that they specialize in financial planning for doctors.
The site was designed with the user in mind, also incorporating such features as a simple “Find an Advisor” lookup tool to allow visitors to search for advisors by state without having to wait to navigate between pages, as well as a form for quick media inquiries.
Together with the Asclepius’ members we also developed the slogan “We help you protect your assets and create wealth, so you can focus on your patient’s health“; and designed a corresponding image to communicate in just a few seconds the UVP (Unique Value Proposition) of this group.
While having a niche focus certainly allowed for straightforward messaging for The Asclepius Group, anyone can copy their success by understanding what their own unique value proposition is before beginning the web design process. Knowing what sets you apart from others providing similar services is integral to communicating the strongest message to your site visitors (and potential clients).
